Maureen Davenport

Biography

I went to Colchester Art School in the early sixties. I met some great artists and wanted my future involved in the artistic world. However, after a year of study my father told me to get a job. That was the end of my artistic ambitions. 30 years ago I moved to the Isle of Man and eventually took up painting again. I started with pastel and had a couple of sucesses. Then I discovered watercolour which I find really challenging but so rewarding when it goes right.
