Hi Mathew I use Windows paint. But Adobe Photoshop elements 2 is my main one. I have an old disc with it on , Adobe is very expensive otherwise. You can get the elements 2 on the net if you search around. I only use it as a media I use the brushes and pick a colour exactly like you would with traditional paint. Oh and I use the blender to get the mix I like. You can vary the strength of your colour , also you can print with many dots per inch , I print 300 d.o.p then use modpodge as a varnish following the brush strokes . The end result is incredible I have to tell people it's printed even artists can't tell. Anyway Mathew look around on the net for the disc it's really good and that way it's cheap.
