church interior
an interior of an early church in rural France, painted on Saunders Waterford paper in transparent watercolours, from photos and sketches taken on site. I have also painted the exterior en plein air, more than once as it is a pretty location. This time the door was open, but only for half an hour, so sadly I could not do this picture on location, my preferred approach.
