A painting in watercolour on Saunders paper, done from the bank of the Thames by Orleans House, Twickenham. The aim was to capture the boats in the foreground, but the Star and Garter Home is so recognizable it dominates the painting, and the view.
About the Artist
Matthew Sewell
Watercolourist since the 90's, and have just taken up oils a couple of years ago. I regularly paint en plein air with a local group called the Artful Dodgers, and aim to paint at least twice a week now I'm heading for retirement.
