Sketches are always so much better when done on the spot - they seem to have an added injection of life. This is a great sketch and I absolutely love the addition of the cone (so they even get on roofs, do they!!)

I think this is more comments than I have ever had for a painting. Thanks to you all for your lovely thoughts. I always enjoy sketching outdoors in the good weather, so much better than painting from photos indoors, and I think it shows in the results.
