Really beautiful Matthew. The way you've painted the features, and the pattern of feathers over the head, is incredibly realistic, and very effective.

Well in readiness for meeting up with John next time, to fulfill our challenge, I have done a small painting of our last rainbow budgie 'Billy'. It is only 12 x 12cms and executed in Artisan water mixable oil paints, on Arches L'huile paper.
