A bit of a departure from still lives for me.. trying to return to people in a bid to try to improve my ability at getting a good likeness:/ I always like making things hard for myself it seems, picking a small canvas covered board....so quite a rough surface, but also the actual facial features occupying such a small area of the small 10 x 12 inch canvas! Done in Artisan water mixable oils as ever these days it seems:)
