Hi Mary I like this. Lovely control of the subtle shades of pink and shading generally. Not easy in watercolour. I know what you mean about green.

A lovely, subtle watercolour.

I am with you over the green - to me it can spoil a perfectly good painting so I try to leave it out as much as possible! There is something very seductive about a pale painting with delicate tones - it almost feels like you are looking through a gauze curtain at the subject. This is beautifully painted with admirable restraint which has given you this super result. Lovely.

A lovely delicate piece. It's beautiful.

Thank you for all your comments.......just the boost I needed to try something new again....watch this space.....I love esxperimenting with colour........so could be something dramatic next time...

I love painting flowers......and have a little difficulty with green, so, as magnolias bloom prior to leaves growing, this is a subtle way of omitting various shades of green.....I know, a cowards way out.
