Lovely painting Marty.

A great show of textures, peeling paint, holes in old leather, fabulous.

Brilliant! love the textures and colours.

I can almost smell this. But may i ask is there no glass in the window? Or is it so dirty that it looks completly opaque. Answering my own question....it is extremely dirty ☺️. Such a clever limited palette.

Really terrific work Marty. That's art for you...

Thanks for the comments folks...to answer a few questions; Its Acrylic painted in translucent layers on mdf and full marks Sylvia, the windows were completely covered with many years of neglect (although you have given me food for thought... i may consider suggesting some glass)

Fabulous painting I love the muted colours and all the textures. Also I like paintings that make you imagine the story behind the image. I've just been made redundant from a job I did not enjoy and had to wear workboots like these for nineteen years. The first thing I did on the last day at work was throw them in the bin, perhaps I should have tried to paint them first. Now I can spend a bit more time on my hobby. I hope you have framed and displayed this one it's lovely.

This has great appeal, subject, colours and composition all excellent.

Beautifully painted, with loads of ambience and wonderful textures.

A wonderful painting Marty.

A fabulous piece of work, all those textures so well done.

Full of character Marty - love it. Can almost smell those old boots.

That's a superb painting Marty and I'm delighted to meet a fellow former sign writer
