This is an incredible little church dating back to the 13th century. Located on a hillside sloping down to the sea, this ancient place of worship has no electricity and no form of heating. The interior has been virtually unchanged over the centuries. In 1823 some extra windows were added and Georgian benches installed - these still carry the painted names of pew holders from nearly 200 years ago. Remains of wall paintings from the Tudor period are still evident on the limewashed walls. Painted on location in mixed media. 14.5" x 10.5"
