I preferred your very stark work, but even so, this is a strong, basic painting which I hope you do work up into something more considered. By the way, that's an absolutely fabulous, vibrant blue - what is it???

Hello Robert - First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to comment on so many of my paintings! Your feedback is really appreciated - thank you! Now the blue... well actually it is cerulean blue against a background of mixed violet and ultramarine. I only tend to use a limited palette, mixing colours as required. Kind regards Martin

Another rapidly painted piece, mainly wet into wet. Yesterday I worked a train over to Morecambe and I always enjoy the view across Morecambe Bay from the West Coast Main Line. This is a typical scene based on that view, with the hills of south Lake District in the distance. I might have a go at working this up to a larger sized canvas... Acrylic on canvas 12" x 9"
