The light on the pomegranate is great, and you always succeed in doing the table cloth in a accomplished way. I.m.o doesn't need much refining.

It's a beautiful still life Marjorie with the light hitting the tablecloth and the pomegranate. It would be great to know what the discussion group said about it!

The discussion won't even get to other pieces Marjorie when they've seen this beautiful work.

Soooooooooooo lovely

Looks great to me Marjorie no need to do much refining . where you been?

Thanks Andre and Satu, it's great to be painting again.
You're very kind Derek - I'm under no illusions, the group has some very talented painters but it keeps you on your toes, it's been really good for me.
Thanks Marie and Dennis - I had a small foot op Dennis - yes, I know I don't paint with my feet but it got in the way and then I got the dreaded painters block again! Glad to say I'm raring to go again.

Beautiful light and composition Marjorie...Folds in the fabric are superbly done, as is that delicious looking pomegranite!!

Great still life.

Glad to see you back painting again Marjorie and what a piece to come back with....stunning. The light and folds in your cloth......gorgeous.

A lovely piece Marjorie, the light is fantastic.

Beautifully rendered, I particularly like the light and reflections on the vase and on the window frame.

Thankyou very much everyone, it's lovely to take up the brush again and you're all really supportive.

Lovely work on the pot Margorie and I love the palette used for the background.

Lovely still life, Marjorie. You have caught light very well.

I had so many pages to catch up on that I missed this beauty. Gorgeous colours and warmth which is your style. I like the way you have echoed the colours in the paint work on window. I hope the discussion went well!

The way you have painted the reflections and light on the rim of the lid is exquisite Marjorie.

Thankyou Frank and Cesare and the discussions on the various offerings were very interesting as usual. Compared to some of the others I always feel mine are too descriptive but that's always how they seem to turn out, unless I use the palette knife.
Thankyou also Russell, light is what always attracts me.

Beautifully painted, with superb tonal work and a lovely composition, Marjorie.

Acrylic, 50cmx40cm. I started this yesterday , working from a photo I took in November, when the morning light was fascinating to look at, coming through the window . I really wanted to use oils but I'm taking it to a discussion group tomorrow so no drying time. It needs a few refinements.
