I wanted to paint a parrot for the online academy & chose to paint him in acrylics as they are ideal for not only achieving that quickly put together background but also cracking the glassy eyes & intricate feather plumage. I really enjoyed the colour selection & think this painting is such an eye catcher. The original was sold ages ago but the tutorial is still available to watch via the mazartacademy.com
