This is a studio piece of a German Shepherd using the underpainting technique in oils. Beginning with an underpainting, followed by multiple colour layers to achieve depth and realism. I adore how this lad turned out, it’s one of my favourites & teaches that we don’t always have to include every aspect such as both ears, both paws.
