Page from a sketch book

I do like pages from sketchbooks. I use them too. Intimate and interesting.

Probably the most intriguing side of art. I am always suprised that public galleries dont make more use of these resources in their displays by having sketchbooks on display and also photocopies of other pages from the same sketchbook displayed alongside to shed a bit more light on the artists thought processes. I always take a few sketchbooks with me some to use just for quick scribbles/sketches others to use for more completed ideas although I always find that a mix of the two gets into each book. They always bring back clearer memories of the sights sounds and smells than all the photographs I take as I am in no doubt your sketch above does for you. Many thanks. Geoff
