The tree is fully blown in the nicest possible way Margaret, this is a smashing study of atmosphere, action and the looseness of it all is very admiranle.

I was a bit fed up with this painting until I read all you lovely comments. I treated myself to some Arches paper but find it is difficult to paint on. The colours come out strong to start with but then they slowly fade into the paper. Thank you all very much I shall persevere with it now.

This is my favourite view from Topsham across the River. A very windy day as usual. I think the tree looks all wrong, it should be a bit shorter or maybe bending over in the wind.
