Lovely paintings. Margaret, and so evocative of the country which is where my origins lie, too. I know the poem you talk about - learnt it by heart as a 10 year old. Look forward to seeing some more reminders of down under...

I have painted a series of views of the Australia I love, my birth place. This particular view is of Brachina Gorge in the Flinders Ranges. I was inspired by the words of a poem well known to Australians, "My Country" written by Dorothea Mackellar. I cannot quote the poem for legal reasons but I am sure that those who are interested will be able to find it on the web.
