Hello, Margaret. I too have not been here for a while, but in email when your lovely comments arrived - thank you. I've had a quick scout around your gallery, and find your style fascinating - surreal and etherial at the same time. Certainly no need to stick to fairies, but these characters still have that feel about them. A bit more blending, or water added here needed perhaps? The structure of the face and hair is wonderful, though, and I love the colours.

Hi Margaret , nice to see you back. Thanks for your comments on African Queen and yes, I still have my blue streak! This is lovely, in your own unique style, and I love the colours you have used. I agree with Lynda, maybe a bit more blending, fingers are great for this if a little messy. Gives a more painterly look if you know what I mean. I mix colours on the paper with my fingers also. Having said that I really like this one and look forward to some more postings now that you are back with us. Regards Val

Many thanks for your comments. I agree with you both - some blending is needed. I noticed it as soon as I had put it on the computer, it seems to show it up more somehow? I shall have a go.
