Love this colours and the composition. Which medium is it ?

I generaly havent liked many wax encaustic works of art but this is quite stunning. Very nice work.

Or is it Wax encaustic art lol.

Hi Beatrice, I like to work with a palette knife and nice thick layers of oil paint, I prepared the background with left overs. Than put a thick mixture of zinc white and pruisian blue over it, spread with a with a palette knife and "draw" the twigs in it. Leave it alone and wait until it is dry. Than spread the orange over a red layer for the leaves for the flowers, try to do it right first time and be happy with the result. I love not only the endresult but also the penetrating smell of the paint in my workspace. The technique is called "wax the oil encaustic art". Thanks Paul, it was hard to describe, now I know.Hahaa:-).

Gorgeous colours and great movement
