Thanks for all your lovely comments, actually the pavers (cobbles) didn’t take very long at all , just mixed up the variety of colours, (whisky in hand) and with a round and flat brush set about it. The most important issue was to getting them in perspective, larger towards the front with a few shadow edges for 3 dimensions. Then a clean uneven wash over the whole area to blend everything into a whole.
