Much appreciated Fiona it was a mix of awe inspiring and at times frightening but the beauty of the place always won at the end of the day.

This is an impression of part of the trip I had to make through the downfall of the glacier as it started its downward curve of the Snow Lake glacier in the Karakorum on one of my trips out there, as the glacier was breaking up it became a maze of deep passageways and gulley's you had to negotiate in the early morning because as the heat built the rocks and stones in the ice became loose and started to fall.
