Thank you Carole, I have seen some beautiful sky's up there over the years, not one as good as that, but in summer on a good sunset Scafell Crag turns pink and if you are up there it is lovely to see. Bivvied up there one summer and the night was so clear did a night walk just by moonlight magical.

Some of my comments aren't appearing, I did have poor internet connection yesterday. Anyway, a very strong image Malcolm, and I did say it would make a very good abstract! (Print, cut, stick, paint)

I climbed that too. Mist all the way up and no view from top. Strange rock formations. Eerie. Once we had come down, the sun cleared away the mist!! The valley, can't remember which, looked amazing with gorse and heather with blue sky sharpening the peaks! Best walking holiday.

Yes it's an amazing part of the country to go hill walking or climbing in Gudrun, glad you like the area.
