Tiny but beautiful Malcolm.I really like this one, there is something about it, hard for me to define.lovely mate .

Well thanks a lot for that Dennis much appreciated.

Caught the scene great Malcolm

I like the way you have painted a landscape with a few brush strokes. I find the small paintings are not easier than wider.

Thanks very much Dennis and Cesare much appreciated.

Even though small in dimension you have still captured the grandeur of the landscape Malcolm.

Thank you for that Fiona.

Lovely setting, nice painting Malcolm.

I do not think I could paint as small as this, Malcolm, and get as much detail in as you have done. It must be a miniature? Wonderful!

Thank you very much Jennifer, I do not know what constitutes a miniature it was just the little pad I had at the time. It is not something I would have normally done, then or now, but thank you for your lovely comments.

Hi Malcolm. We live in Bryn Hall now, bought it a year ago...and once again we are trying to restore it to its former glory; it is in the best condition it has ever been in now. Nice picture, thanks for posting it. I have been researching the history of our house and have found out quite a bit. Esther

This is the smallest painting I have ever done, it is of a place called Brynn Hall were I took a group of adults with Learning Difficulties for a week on the Welsh mountains. It was the home of the owner of the disussed old quarry above which it sits, it is built in a square with a courtyard in the middle. At the time I went a young couple had bought it and were in the middle of restoring it to its former glory, it even had a small ballroom come banqueting room. That was some years ago, I do not know what has happened since, the quarry is up a long track off the Bethesda road.

About the Artist

I have always loved the outdoors and have climbed and walked in various places in the world, after giving numerous slide shows and talks about my trips to raise money for charity, i realised the slides and photos did not do what i saw justice, so I decided to start trying to paint. I am self taught…
