Thank you Marjorie, yes all the painting is acrylic using knife and brush. It was spectacular, but then it all is out there, I was lucky enough to do 3 trips out there altogether . I did include two small figures at about 1100 clock from the tent just below the purple band to show the vastness of the glacier, don't know if you can see them on the image.

Yes, I can just see them. It does give a perspective. Did you go on your own? I've just been reading a very interesting book by Tim Marshall, " Prisoners of Geography" ( yes, Not about art!) but this region is one which plays an important part in the division of countries re geopolitics. I would recommend it, very "reader friendly".

I did not go on my own, I have had a regular trekking partner for many years and she has shared the good and bad times on many of these trips.
