I think I have to agree with you ref the finish on this one Malcolm, much prefer the one on paper. It gives the water a static look somehow.

I agree with you about the canvas board - but good painting though

This is the first painting after the trial I posted of the drowned village of Derwent under the Ladybower Reservoir showing more of the wall footprints. This was on canvas board and I am not happy with the result as the weave shows and disrupts the floe, the trial was done on watercolor paper, I will be doing a second on paper.
