Thanks for that comment Diane much appreciated.

Very special: a painting with a history! Great!

All your comments are much appreciated Mia and yes were possible if there is history or information to my work I like to add it for interest.

This has a real ethereal quality to it ... the lost city of Atlantis next eh?

Heather thank you so much for that comment, really appreciated, I have always felt a real sadness for the villagers who were forced to move out from homes in which their family's had been in for generations some times and when the drought hit the village outline could be seen again when the water went, spooky.

Thanks for that Russell really appreciated.

Very atmospheric, Malcolm.

Like the eeriness of this and those beautiful blues Malcolm.

Thank you Jenny and Carole much appreciated, the eeriness is as I hoped Carole, the thought of a drowned village beneath the waters as you drive past gives me that feeling.

You’ve certainly caught the feeling of being under water Malcolm. It has that hazy quality and the strokes of light above to give the feeling of moving surface water.

Thank you so much for those comments and observations Fiona mush appreciated as this is the first time I have really tried any thing like this.

This is my trial for another in my Dry Stone wall series but with a difference, this is going to be a homage to the drowned village of Derwent that is now under the Ladybower reservoir (yes the painting is meant to show a wall under water :)) )
