I like this. Nice composition, and the limited palette gives it strength and effectiveness.

Love the sky in this Malcolm, have you created the texture on the left hand hill in pastel? It's very effective if you have.

Many thanks for the kind comments - the picture was painted very quickly and it is all painted in watercolours - I was trying out a new pallet of colours which was Prussian Blue, Yellow Ochre, Light Red and Burnt Umber. I love the Devils Kitchen area but never climbed it in winter.

Prussian blue makes fabulous darks, mixed with Light Red..... well used in this painting, effective contrast of loose washes in the sky and dry-brush in the rocks.
