Two lovely sketches, Margaret, I find there is atmosphere.

They are both lovely, Margaret. Love the spontaneous and lively pen-work.

I think both of these are very successful Margaret . You have taken a very “Twee “ scene and breathed life into it.

I agree, a lovely spontaneous pair of paintings Margaret.

Great stuff Margaret, will do my challenge in the New Year 😀

Two great sketches Margaret. I must try and do mine!

I like both of them, charming quick sketches.

Margaret I love both of these. You’ve got the spontaneity that mine are lacking...great job!

Both very nice a natural freedom

I just love your sketches. This has a look like the weather's turning, you know how it goes before the rain comes and it washes all the snow away. Love it.

Thank you Sylvia and Carole :)

Thank you Linda :) Yes, I suppose I should have left it to January! However, it was fun - hope you enjoy it.

Thank you Maureen :) Thank you Margaret - I'm enjoying seeing everybody's versions - hope to see yours soon :)

Thank you Annick :) Thank you Fiona :) I liked yours - especially the ink one. Thank you Dennis. :) Thank you Jennifer :)

Quick, spontaneous, wintry "wash" = very good !

Having been inspired by other's efforts, I thought I would have a go at this challenge - have done 2 on one piece of paper (the last sheet of an old cheap 140 lb watercolour pad). The top one was supposed to be a pure watercolour but had to rescue it with pen. The lower one was a pen drawing with wash added. Both are pretty quick - good fun but not wildly successful!
