Always good to see the two versions. I like black & white art anyway, so this appeals.

my thanks for the kind comments. Lewis , I used to prefer black and white over colour at one stage especially for expressing correct tonal values - which for me are prime importance. I used a similar technique to this when painting in oils. Conversely , I used to convert coloured paintings to black and white photocopies in order to check tone value.
