sorry to say , Gudrun, that the paper colour is a trick of the light the photo was taken in. Took them last night after getting home. ( we are into late Autumn and lights are needed by 18.30 hours) Thanks to all for the comments - they are working , very basic , sketches which are backed up with photos. If I make too involved a sketch with colour it becomes an end in itself and , rarely , goes any further. I use ink for sketching - one has to think before committing the stroke to paper.
