Lovely picture Lynne.

What a delightful place and painting

Thank you Stephen and Heather. I feel somewhat restricted when I paint a house for someone, wanting to get a fair representation. I feel my strokes can be more painterly with landscapes or still life.

I like how the tulips are placed, nice composition. Also like the sober colours and those blues in the sky and backfround

I appreciate your comment, Federico. I love "sober colours," greys and browns.

Thanks for your thoughtful comment, Rhia.

I painted this as a birthday present for a friend. She and husband live in the woods, where, if left unprotected, deer feast on the spring tulips. Her tulip-loving husband, who planted the bulbs in all those pots, covers the tulips at night. Water-soluable oils on 7" x 8" canvas "paper."
