Bears in the woods on wood, how apt, although the composition and inspiration came from a photo of the Finnish wilderness by the photographer Stian Norum Herlofsen. This was done as a trial on some newly acquired pieces of Scottish larch. I thought I would see how it took to charcoal and pastels.
