What a lovely painting Shelagh. The train is fantastic and those lovely fresh trees frame the painting delightfully. Wouldn’t like to live in that house. It must be very noisy.

Thanks to both of you for the kind words. And Carole, it's a nice noise of chuffing but also, it stops at a reasonable hour and goes past fairly slowly making it fun to wave to all the folk just like the Railway Children. Sad that I am, I never get bored of waving and it makes people smile every time.

Whilst staying at Porthmadog we spent many a day watching the steam trains go by on the Ffestiniog Railway and waving to all aboard. Lots of fun and smiles.
