Thank you - but, with every painting you get to a point where it's make or break....... it always feels like a jigsaw and, with every move now, it has to fit right. Leaving the paint to dry will now allow me to wipe back (I hope anyway!).

Work in progress ......... I'm trying to capture an owl hovering with talons ready to capture their prey. Working in such a small range of values, I'm going to wait to see if I need to add a higher key to finish it off. Oil on gesso panel.
