Yes indeed, it made me smile!!! How lovely, Louise. This is really telling a story and there are so many details to watch. Stunning!!!

How do you think them up!! So much detail and blow me down if you haven't designed the wallpaper as well! It's a great vibrant illustration. Now we need you to tell us the story that goes with it - or even challenge us to come up with a story which incorporates all the artifacts in the painting....???? I think it is the ladybird's birthday (card on table) and she is having a nice bowl of nectar gathered from her vase of flowers on the side table. Then she is going to bake some sugar fairy cakes (bun tray on table and contained of sugar) and invite the local bees around for a celebration. Anywhere close???

I do believe quite strongly that humour has a place in art and it's a shame it's not more widely appreciated - far too many stick in the muds - anyway I must get off my bandwagon - this really did make me smile and so competantly painted.

Many thanks Thea and Michael! Michael, when I posted this I did think about my reputation and thought, well, what the hell, it's a bit of fun! Thea, you're spot on! :)

This is really lovely Louise, beautiful illustration

Thanks Mia and Petra!

It's like inside a doll's house, lovely Louise!

Another really gorgeous illustration, Louise! And it certainly made me smile and then some! Your recent works would make a wonderful compilation for children's books.
