Thanks Ping, I positioned the houses and then the rest of the painting just happened. I followed the shapes formed by the initial washes. I supose that I must have a vague idea though!

This is very impressive. It is quite a complex piece, and you are able to carry to the end without mistake!!!

I like the pinks and purples that a creeping into your latest designs, This is a very strong composition and it could have been risky putting a very dark line right across the painting. However, you have cleverly broken that line by allowing the details above it to cross over into the lower section - so it works really well. I like the addition of the telegraph wires as well.
