I really like this piece, Louise. It's like a rich tapestry. There's so much to see, and it really holds the viewer's eye. I like the colors and the composition, but if I had to pick the strongest point of this painting, I would say it's the placement of the various shapes, the way the curves and lines play off each other and create so much of the tension that makes a good work superlative.

Thank you all. I actually use this little collection of cottages quite alot in my paintings! I think it's called a recurring theme! Satu, I use tubes of watercolour. I find a new tube of paint in a particularly gorgeous colour can inspire me to do a new work based round that colour. My Fiona& Terry headache has gone!

Angi, it is watercolour, honest! I wouldn't know where to start in acrylic or oil!

As always, such a strong sense of design. Brilliant colours and interesting textures. You'll probably think me very odd but my favourite bits of your paintings are the skeleton trees you put in - they just appeal to me! I like all the rest of course, but ahhh those trees just do it for me.
