Now this is good Louise! I know it’s awkward but you get some great shapes and spaces without trying very hard. The heads, legs and feet are brilliant! Are you using riggers? I think the brushes I’m using are far too big to get the good spacings as you have here. I’ve only got one rigger....I’ll improvise......I’ve got plenty of feathers!

Thanks Fiona! I used two equal size quite small pointy brushes and applied the paint lines quite thickly. Riggers would be difficult as they're temperamental sometimes and go the wrong way. Could give a good abstract line though? I was bolder here as I used a larger sheet of paper and had plenty of paint ready mixed. It was a case of putting down the colour and not getting too fiddly. I spent some time earlier on another which didn't work out. This one took very little time. That often happens. Don't get me going on feathers next..lol

Love it Louise 👍🏻

Nice work. Something entirely different to the norm Louise. Interesting.

What a great effect and makes very interesting patterns. Would make a great poster.

Really interesting experimental pieces, Louise. This one is great!

Admire how you do them Louise

I think this is great Louise! I agree with Stephen, would make a great poster - love the colours you've used.

Thank you Rachel, Jim, Maureen, Stephen, Thalia, Dennis and Margaret. i 'm delighted with your comments as I wasn't sure about this one myself. My figure haven't got faces because I seem to often mess up as soon as I add eyes and mouths. Being watercolour it's not good to spoil work with odd looking faces as they're difficult to put right. After such nice comments, It's growing on me so thanks again and thank you Fiona for the idea and for keeping me at it.

What a fantastic result, Louise. This looks so different from the one liners and I love it. Must put it on my bucket list to try one day.

You're certainly mastering this tricky technique Louise.

A very striking image that stands out in the gallery. Love it.

Thanks Satu, Sandra and Lewis :)

Still trying Fiona's 'two brushes taped together' idea. Watercolour 40 cm x 27 cm
