One liner cafe! by Louise Naimian

One liner cafe!

It's great Louise, has a real 'buzz' about it!

Fantastic - so much excitement and atmosphere - brilliant. I wouldn't mind betting that it would have been a lot harder to produce this effect by drawing in the conventional way. The one liners are winning the day for me!

Thank you Christine and Thea. A drawing like this takes so little time as well (about 10 minutes ) which is half the fun. I'd seen Satu's and thought of a cafe scene. Once the idea was there, I just had to get going and very soon after, it was done! Once the line was started, I had to keep going and not worry about the outcome. This resulted in an inaccurate but spontaneous painting. Because I'd drawn it so quickly, the paint went on quickly as well as you can tell. I could never have achieved this if I'd spent more time. Looking at it now, there are parts I would change but that doesn't matter, it's just a fun one liner sketch really!

Might have been quick, but it looks classy, artistic and as if it has been done by an artist with vision (which you have, of course!).

It's a great spontaneous painting Louise and, I presume, all from your imagination? I have to have some source of reference, a photo of one of the birds for instance, as in the case of the flamingos. The composition just happens!

Absolutely marvellous Louise! It's so much alive and fun and as Thea said artistic and classy. The method is so incredibly easy and quick, I did my lady in the cafe under one minute. Like Christine said, you don't have to worry about the result because you are not allowed to have a look... Well a couple of nano seconds if you really have to lift the pen and reposition it. Congratulations again Louise!

Thank you Thea, Christine and Satu. Yes, imaginary Christine. As you say, the composition just happens as the line continues. Satu, I looked at my paper while drawing but certainly didn't worry about wobbly lines etc. I was drawing too quickly and concentrating on the unbroken line!

Loving the colours - very vibrant!

I can even hear the voices - nice one L

Many thanks Gudrun, Glennis, Debs and Michael. I think I could hear them as well Michael..LOL

Vibrant and full of life. Can't believe it took so little time to draw.

A complicated scene that you have done extremely well in one line and brought to life with those vibrant colours.

Thank you Kevin and Val.

Having seen Satu's 'Ready to order' one line drawing I had to try a cafe scene!
