The colours don't matter Louise, this works very very well

Gorgeous work Louise! I love the fluidity and your use of colour.

Lovely freedom in your work, Louise. I'm going to try more urban scenes. I think this is great.

Thanks Derek, Mark and Caroline. This was painted with a couple of hake brushes and quite a lot of pre mixed paint which accounts for the lack of detail!

Another inspiring painting,

I really like this. It's edgy, if that makes sense at all.

Superb Louise - I love how you are starting to marry your detailed style with your loose and fresh style - I think this is very successful and dare I say your best yet.

Thanks Kevin and Gudrun!

Than you Joseph, I think not but am happy to go along with your words! I've since added more colour to the standing lady's top who here looks as though she has no top on, just a deep tan.. lol

I like this for it's simplicity and strength. I also like the unusual palette which adds a lot of interest and drama to the scene. However, if I am being totally honest, I prefer the more detailed one. I am not sure why I do, just a gut reaction. Both are excellent and it comes down to personal taste I suppose.

I like this one too! I thought it was a topless waiter!

LOL Satu, a topless spray tanned waiter!

Ii thought I liked the last one best and then you post another and I like this one better!

Thank you Thea, always interesting to hear different opinions here. A bit like that Harry Hill programme if you know which I mean, 'which is best, only one way to find out... fight!.' I actually prefer to paint the more abstract, not sure how they'll turn out ones. More precise images don't always appeal to me but I appreciate that others like recognizable scenes.

Thank you Christine, that's nice of you to say so!

PS Satu, as well as adding some clothes, she doesn't look quite so flat chested now. The topless, tanned waiter is no more..lol

What a shame, I could have sent the Ladies Circle for an outing in Manchester!

I like 'not true to life' this is good Louise.

Plenty of good comments, well deserved. Beautiful watercolour!

Thank you Carole and Michelle. Much appreciated!

Satu, I'll let you know if I hear of any suitable venues for the ladies circle!

I love how you have shown all the buildings here Louise with the little café tucked away

Bright and immediate. Lovely work, Louise!

Thank you Ros and Seok.
