Corfe Castle, Dorset
I painted this in two sittings, both on warm, bright afternoons. Positioned on a hill opposite the castle with a wonderful view, I worked in watercolour to create the painting. Especially on the second day there, the shadows on the stone ruins were particularly attractive. I am keen to visit Corfe Castle again to work on more paintings in the near future. It is such a beautiful place.
