The Casson Bridge, Savill Garden

The Casson Bridge

A beautiful addition to your excellent gallery, the bridge looks really good due to using the pallet knife .

This is lovely and your palette knife was used to good effect

Such a lovely variety of textures and your use of blues really makes this painting pop Lorna. Love it.

Love the style of this Lorna.

Beautifully painted with great colour and texture Lorna.

Hang on Studio Wall

This is one of many paintings I did in the Savill Garden Virginia water. I used a pallet knife to paint the bridge to give the grainy effect to the wood, as gouache tends to give a flat surface. This method also helps to add contrast and texture to the painting to show the ridged wood against the soft reeds and flowing water under the bridge.
