David, I really like this - lovely blues and greens (but find the deep red paving slab in the foreground a bit distracting).

Hi everyone and thanks for your comments - I was aiming for more of a greeny blue than the slightly bluey green I ended up with, but I really liked it and so thought - never mind realism, let's have some fun. I see what you mean about the red slab Jenny, and thanks for your comments - I'm very much on a learning curve, and constructive criticism really helps.

I love Brighton, and I love piers - what's not to like? This is the Palace Pier as was, now called Brighton Pier since the sad demise of the beautiful old West Pier.
