'The Inquisitor' ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING Oil on panel 18" x 20" Done form a photo I took at Bosworth Battle Re-enactment Aug 2009 (Slight curve causes some photo anomalies) I've photographed this the best i could because the varnish has a shine to it as well as a slight curve. Based at Bosworth Visitor Centre in Leicestershire they regularly have living history events based on the 15th Century life and each year they reenact the Battle of Bosworth. We go regularly and I have many references taken there. This guy is also a regular and is the 'inquisitor'. His job to test to see who was or potentially was a 'witch. His paraphernalia intrigued me. He was just st at an open table so I redesigned and put him inside the field-battle type tent. i did enjoy painting all the tools. one of my older ones. I can no longer sit at an easel to paint and am unable to do a lot in oils as it takes so long to get set up, I don't have long enough to paint to achieve anything as I get tired so quickly.
