OIL BARS on canvas board 12 x 16 ? ins I did this Nov 2012 and forgot all about it until someone who saw it on another site commented on how much they liked it. I wasn't sure which of my portfolios to add this too. It is a landscape with a figure in it. the thing is, that the figure was actually a rather weathered bronze statue by this pond in the gardens of Hedingham Castle in Essex. I brought her to life to try and produce something in the way the impressionists liked to paint bathers in the open air. The oil bars are rather chunky. I wanted a theme to experiment with. I used colour shapers, turps and brushes in layers.
