On our walks during the evening, some of the lanes are lined with these big Ash trees. The intertwining branches and leaves makes for very interesting patterns and lends themselves to a loose textured style. I dragged a comb through the base coat of gesso to give some geometric pattern to the board’s surface before I painted over it with a mix of watercolour, acrylic ink and some inktense pencils. Crows also like to gather on the fences in the early evening and it's a fun subject to paint.
