Well done - it's so enormously gratifying to get a result like that. I'd have found that distinctive patch of white VERY difficult to carry off convincingly, but you obviously did.

Yes, this was a tough one and yes, that block of white befuddled me for a while - on the photo I could not even see any shadow really so had to use a little artistic licence to make it look part of the horse and not something stuck to his neck - it seemed to work - Whew!!!!! Hazel, I use Mi-Tientes Pastel Paper - the smoother side. I don't like the more textured side as it gives the picture an almost tapestry look. Thanks again for your positive thoughts.
