Two greats Lew, can't mistake your fab drawings.

Great stuff Lewis, they look like they have the same taste in hats !!!

Never fail to impress me with your gifts

I like the intense darks ( I presume this is the ink ) against the softer watersoluble pencil, it works very well Lewis, but then any medium would in your expert hands.

Thanks to all for the great feedback. Yes Val, the intense blacks are ink (I use waterproof pens in various sizes). I guess I like high contrast work.

As always, great and uniquely your work !

How dashing he is Lewis, you achieve some lovely tonal work with the pencils.

Cyrano de Bergerac to the life Lew, and Roxanne too no doubt. (-: Good work both.

Wonderful sketches, the two are so different but so recognisable as your work Lewis.

Great sketches, love the similarity in hats as the two figures are so different.

The pic on the left is me attempting something different using just flat colour...I've seen this form of art often, it seems simple but isn't. This is just a sketchbook quick tryout. I may paint something like it, but I need to try some more ideas. The cartoon figure is in pen and watersoluble pencil, a sketching method I'm liking more and more. It occurs to me that this follow would need an enormous handkerchief to cope with that nose. A4 sketchbook.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
