She certainly looks the part Lewis.

She looks like a slug, a horrible but well executed picture.

How ugly!!! Just perfect!

Reminds me of Les Dawson Lewis, in character.

Brilliant as always Lewis she has a beady eye on someone!

Thanks for your comments, it turns out I won't be using Sairey Gamp anyway, I've nearly done enough to fill my eight aperture frame. I have two, and was thinking of filling the other one with Dickensian characters, but enough is enough...I'll think of another theme for that one. Yes John, I think she looks like Les Dawson's old woman character, entirely accidental, I certainly wasn't thinking of him when I drew it...just a fat faced sly old woman.

Worth the second go, perfect Lewis.

LOL this is a marvellous Mrs Gamp, I prefer her to the original.

Not happy with my first attempt at this character, I've had another go. Dickens says she's a fat old drunkard, untidy, and always carrying an umbrella (a 'gamp'). She also had a 'weepy eye' that she could turn upward into her head, so that only the white showed. I've just closed one eye. As it's only a little pic, I've put all the fat in her face. She looks a bit like Les Dawson...that was unintended. So now I know if I what to draw Les Dawson, 'think' Mrs Gamp.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
