Looks great, Lewis.

Fantastic effect Lew. I wouldn't know where to start on something like that. Great work.

I have mixed views on digital art Lewis but I don't see anything wrong in taking your own work and having a play around with it, yours works really well with your posting however I do think there should be a separate section for people who regularly post digital art that is obviously photos that have been manipulated.

Cleverly put together Lewis with some of your usual good characters, and I love the cat! I first saw this on my mobile and wondered why you had an area of baked beans in it, but now on my iPad I realise it’s the ladies hat! I also don’t see any problem with this obvious combination of your own work ( not so different to your recent series eg the Dickens) but agree with Linda that maybe it’s time for POL to consider including an option for completely digital work produced solely on a computer, of which I suspect there may be more than we realise.

This is very clever stuff Lewis. Your imagination really brings your art to life. I tend to agree with Linda that there should be a separate section for this kind of art. It's slightly intimidating for those of us who would be clueless in attempting digital art but I suppose we have t o move with the times.

I see nothing wrong with this Lewis, it's all your own work and it looks very effective. I think what most people think badly of is a complete digital painting or a photograph made to look like a painting. The latter being cheating in my book. I can admire digital artists as I've had a try myself and gave up as I found it too hard to control!

Thanks for your comments. I suppose this site at it's heart is for regular painting and drawing as featured in the magazines produced. I don't recall ever seeing anything digital in them...there are other sites and magazines for that. However, when you upload pics and tick boxes for media used (if you do), 'digital' is shown amid all the other media...so clearly the site has no problems with it. I'm not sure it needs a separate section, that's a step too far for me.

These are super, Lewis. I tend to agree with Linda, but this is oh so beautifully done!

I like much of the 'digital art' that is posted on this site and I like this too Lewis. I have no idea how it's done but I can appreciate the skills and talent needed to produce this art form.

Love it :)

I don't like this hot weather, and can't seem to get beyond the occasional quick sketch. So this is me playing around on my computer. All the images in the montage are actual paintings...watercolour mostly, pen and ink and one oil. Some of the colour blocks in the background and the odd texture here and there were done in photoshop. This is simple stuff in digital (I can't do the difficult), I've moved the various images around and played with transparency.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
